This Chevy Short Bed was originally a Tennessee rust-free, 36,000 mile truck in immaculate condition. Never having
been wrecked or damaged, the original color was the popular two-tone orange and white. It is now GM Torch Red (WA9076) with
PPG82 Urethane Clearcoat. It was completely disassembled and a professional ground-up restoration was completed by CA
Classics (Curt Austin, Rockford, Illinois). Z series GM 5.7 cid small block crate motor with Roller Cam . Polished Tuned Port Fuel Injection by Street & Performance was added to the powerhouse
to add additional horsepower and performance. Polished pulleys, brackets, alternator, valve covers and A/C compressor,
(by Street & Performance) as well as Sanderson Headers were also added as well as a serpentine belt system. A 400 Turbo
transmission adds to the performance along with stainless steel dual exhausts with Flow Master mufflers. Other features
include ps, pb, am/fm cassette, super ice cold factory A/C, tilt wheel, factory tachometer, real tinted glass and custom interior
by Bobby Griffey (Knoxville, Tennessee) including gray leather GRIFFEY seats and matching gray leather door panels, fan &
heater cover, Boyd leather steering wheel and thick Mercedes wool carpet and sculptured tweed headliner and visors. The custom
console was created specifically for this restoration and is also finished in matching gray leather and tweed. The bed is
custom finished in high quality triple chromed strips with a super high gloss marine urethane finish. The paint is also by Curt Austin and is absolutely flawless .
Words and pictures cannot describe the quality of this truck. It runs and drives beautifully and could easily
be a routine driver though I have chosen to drive it to shows only. It is very quick and commands "double takes" everywhere
it goes. It is always first to draw a crowd at every event. THIS TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN SHOWN AT ANY SUPER
CHEVY EVENT. The lucky purchaser of this vehicle will have the pleasure of National attention at the big shows.
